How we collect our stats data:

Aaron and I play our own version of a "season."  Each season has 15 games.  We play a matchup of all 14 teams twice.  So, if the Bills are matched up to play the Colts in a season, Andy might have the Bills first and Aaron has the Colts.  The second half of the season, Aaron has the Bills and Andy has the Colts.  For the first half of the season, the loser of the previous game gets to pick their team first.  Once we've played all 14 games, each team will have played twice.  We rank the teams by wins, and then by the mean points they win or lose by.  So if several teams are all 2-0, the teams that won by the biggest margin are ranked highest.  At the end of the season, we make the schedule for the next season, and so on and so on.  That way, the winners will play the winners and the losers will play the losers.  Eventually, when we play enough games, it will all even out.  Right now the Seattle Seahawks are ranked too high, because they won some games against really bad teams.  Since they kept winning, they will play better teams, and start losing again, knocking their ranking down to a more realistic position.
So why 15 games in a season?  The fifteenth is the Pro Bowl, played halfway through the year.  It goes on the All Time Stats list, as well as our individual records, but not the All-Time Record Book.

Here is the Record book.  Note these numbers would be higher against a computer player, but these are all Andy versus Aaron.  Nothing here is against the computer.  Also, these are all SNES Tecmo Super Bowl, 8 mins per quarter.

Pro Bowl Notes
· Nick Lowery (Aaron) scores only touchdown ever by a kicker in AFC’s 48-10 win over the NFC in Season one.
· Deion Sanders (Andy) fumbles three times on three consecutive kickoffs, losing two in the NFC’s 10-48 loss to the AFC in Season one.
· Steve Young’s 71-yard pass completion to Jerry Rice (Aaron) is completed four-yards short of the goal line as time runs out, preventing overtime and giving the AFC a 28-21 victory over the NFC in Season one, forcing a 31st and decisive game of the season.
· Aaron thought he was ahead instead of tied 17-17 and did not choose to kick a field goal from Andy’s 40-yard line and let time run out.  Andy later won in overtime, 20-17.
