My Trip to Rome, Italy (not Alaska)

 

In February 2002, I got to go to Rome with my parents and sister. We spent a week there, and saw a lot of great sites. Piazza Navarone, the Pantheon, the Colosseum, the Borghese Gallery.. here are a few pictures from the trip.

This is my sister and I at the Colosseum. I highly recommend going to Rome in February.. the weather is perfect. Not too hot, not too cold.

We had a ten hour layover in Amsterdam, so we got to go into the city by train. It was 9am on a Saturday, and the streets were REALLY quiet.

 

We walked over to the Vatican twice. The first time it was very rainy out, and not very nice, but it made for some nice pictures.

The Trevi fountain. A lot of people drank out of the Roman fountains. I sort of wondered how safe they were. Well, they've been around for long enough so it must be okay.

This is a cool picture my mom took of a fruitstand at night. Mmm.. Fanta.
