I really didn't know this guy would be the most mentioned subject in the debate tonight.

...and would he really not upgrade/buy/expand his business because of a 3% tax increase?
I don't like the redistribution of wealth argument, either, because trickle-down is redistribution, too, just the other way. You could always make that argument unless there was a flat tax.

On the bright side, Joe the Plumber has now done more interviews than Sarah Palin.
Unfortunately, he might be a convicted tax cheat:

If you watch it with the sound off, it looks like they're going to fight. That helps make it less boring too.
Nice boom shadow, Reid.

1. I don't understand why anyone in the U.S. would have a difficult time grasping the idea that if you make more money your tax responsibility increases as well.
2. I haven't studied Obama's plan, but I'm willing to bet that the $250,000 he's throwing around like hotcakes is '$250,000 in taxable income;' meaning, after deductions and exemptions, if your taxable income is greater than $250,000 you would get "smammered" (my word) by his tax plan. So, if you are getting hit by this $250,000 level you are actually making a ton more than $250,000 annually and if you are worried about getting hit by this proposed tax level I have several ways in which you can relax a bit: Make a mess for your housemaid to clean; or, light your cigar with $100 bills; or, cheer on your USC Trojans football team from your front row, section 23 seats at the L.A. Coliseum.
3. The end-all of arguments/quips for people that will get taxed at the $250,000 level can be attributed to the late, great Biggie Smalls: "Like my man Puff say, 'Mo' money, mo' problems."
Uh huh. Yeah.
