The Canon 5D Mark II was just announced... 21 (!) megapixel, full frame, HD video (not sure about autofocus with video -- a downside of the D90), 25,600 ISO to match Nikon's D700.... and pricey (but less than the D700): ($2700 body, $3500 with 24-105 lens). More specs.
I think I still might want the 40D next... even though video would be nice, a standalone video camera will probably be better.

I've been drooling over this all morning. 21 megapixels is excessive, but everything else looks great.
According to the dpreview.com preview, "Contrast-detect AF is available during video capture, however it's pretty slow."
