Two chickens, a projector, and Jack Bauer
Check out an alternate ending to 24 this season. (Spoilers if you're not up to this season).
I put up a couple pictures of our projector in action. The home theater is a work in progress. We're going to mount the projector and add curtains along the wall (eventually!). We got an Optoma HD70 and have been pretty happy with it. I wasn't expecting non-HD DVD's to look as good as they do. When we're not playing video games on it, you can easily get it over 100".
This was a pretty interesting story about a one man show/monologue who had people walk out (in protest over... something?) and dump water on his script. Update: He talks to the guy.
Follow up to the Nickelback website on NPR, no less.
Oh. I have to include this. Two chickens break up a rabbit fight.
Ben Folds makes up a song on the spot based on some guy's unintelligible yelling.
The toughest Super Mario level ever. Everyone I've showed this too has cried laughing.

Misc.
Need any more evidence that Nickelback is one of the worst bands ever? Here (audio).
Outfoxed: Rupert Murdoch's War on Journalism - documentary - full movie.
Clever drunk driver (Reno 911 - at first I thought it might be real)
One of my new favorite sites is The Consumerist. In part for posts like this and this about Purnia ripping off Madonna and child paintings.
New Grand Canyon Skywalk a ripoff? Bait and switch or just unclear rates?
Pearls Before Breakfast - just about everyone has posted this but it's worth repeating - Washington Post sets up world-class violinist as a street musician. Musicality ensues.

On the eve of opening day, too
RIP Herb Carneal, one of the voices of the Twins I grew up listening to.
There's something great about baseball on the radio, and Herb definitely will be associated with those great memories growing up.
When I was little I'd listen to Twins games on my clock radio while falling asleep. While at the cabin with family we'd tune into the game one WELY, although back then it was more static than game, especially during any of the numerous thunderstorms up there.
A couple samples:
His style is so much better than most announcers you hear these days who interject stupid chatter or over-dramatizing events (Joe Buck comes to mind).
Herb was 83. He was scheduled to work 36 home games this year.
