Last week Aimee and I stopped by the Lake Superior Zoo in Duluth, MN while we were up north. Here are a few shots from the day...
This grizzly bear was TIRED. Here having of of those "should I get up?" moments, half asleep, half awake.
As you can see by the next shot, he decided to go back to sleep.
This polar bear was entertaining- he kept swimming in circles, but he'd do the exact something each time- twist around, push off, roll over, etc.
Ring-tailed lemur. Woo.
Sequence of prairie dogs playing...
This wasn't from the zoo but from a visit to the cabin. This guy was sitting across the lake in the trees- in the night shot right below, it would be the set of trees right across from the raft. He actually started in the trees right above the cabin, but was startled and flew here before I had my camera. Really neat to see these huge birds fly.
This was a 151-second exposure night shot looking out on the lake. I did a little photoshop work to brighten it up a tad and bring out the color. It was almost a full moon, so there is where most of the light was coming from.
This is a crop from the previous shot- it's actually someone's campfire.

It's probably better I didn't say what they were cooking with the fire, then.
