'cause i've seen several interviews where murray tells a story about how he soothed an upset wes anderson by paying for a helicopter shot that the budget could not afford during rushmore filming (the shot got cut and is not in the movie).

Could be. Who knows about the whole grudge thing between them. I wouldn't doubt Bill Murray just pulling people's legs with it. I mean... why would he do Life Aquatic with them if he had a spat going? If Murray does another movie with them you know it's probably not true. Or else they have something really good to blackmail him with.
