Looks like NBC made YouTube take down all their Conan videos. Hope you got a chance to watch before they did.

Nope, didn't. But I did see King Kong, finally. And let me tell you, I HATED it. The first hour would have been fine if it had taken the characters to some spiritual rebirth in a lost land of wonder... but that hour leading up to dinosaurs and head-eating bugs?!! Every action scene went on at least 50% too long. The movie just went on and on and on and on. When they finally captured Kong, I was so relieved... that we didn't have to watch the journey all the way back to New York. For once, the movie just skipped ahead to the next logical scene. If only they had done that 20 or 30 other times. Hated it. Never want to see it again. It takes a lot for me to say that about a movie with biplanes.

You know, I felt relived as well when they skipped the trip back to NY. I think that was my favorite scene.

Sure, Kong had it's shortcomings, but I wouldn't say I HATED it. I had a good time at the movie and felt I got my money's worth, so I thought it was good. And Dustin wasn't there, so I enjoyed it that much more.

I'll admit that many of the scenes were well written and well executed, but there were too many of them. I still think Star Wars is the classic adventure movie -- but I'm pretty sure I would have found it to be dull if it had been three hours long. I would have enjoyed Kong if it had been 1 hour and 45 minutes long.
