I'm sure this is actually a really good idea for a marketing campaign... but this is a letter from the American Diabetes Association. In red it says:
The enclosed nickel can make a real difference in the search for a cure for diabetes!
Why are you giving it to me then?? Go ahead, keep it! I'm all for finding a cure. Do they want me to send the nickel back along with some more loose change? Because in that case I think a picture of a nickel (or, "place nickel here") would have worked a lot better. How many nickels are they losing on this deal?

maybe they mean the composite metal in nickle is a cure for diabetes...
